Astrid Ebner is a former Austrian skeleton athlete .

Astrid Ebner lives in Innsbruck . In the second half of the 1990s she was the dominant Austrian skeleton pilot. In 1996 she became the first woman to win the Austrian championship in Igls . Until 2001 she won all other titles and is the record champion in her country with six titles. In December 1996 she made her international debut in the Skeleton World Cup . However , she did not finish her first race in Königssee . In the same month she took part in her second race in Igls, which she successfully finished in second place. In January 1999 she narrowly missed the podium in fourth place, but achieved her best placement in the World Cup. The 2000 Skeleton World Championship in Igls was also successful . She finished fifth on her home track. A year later , she finished 21st in Calgary . After the season, she ended her career.
