Mario Guggenberger

Mario Guggenberger is a former Austrian skeleton rider .

Mario Guggenberger has been in the Skeleton World Cup since 1993 . In 1996 he achieved his first top ten placement in Igls in sixth place. Two years later he was able to win his only World Cup race on the track. Guggenberger was not very successful at the skeleton world championships . In 1998 he finished 14th in St. Moritz , in 1999 he was 20th. That year he achieved his best result at an Austrian state championship ; Guggenberger won silver behind Alexander Müller . In 2000 he ended his international career and subsequently became the coach of Matthias Guggenberger, among others .
