Florian Kranebitter (born March 17, 1986 ) is an Austrian skeleton pilot .

In 2005, Kranebitter , who lives in Zirl, started with skeleton competitions, two years later he made his debut in November 2007 in the European Skeleton Cup of the 2007/08 season . There he only managed a 36th place in Igls , but further EC appearances followed. Overall, he was able to achieve 21st place as the best result in the European Cup this winter, and he has already achieved placements near the podium at local races. He was fourth in the 2007 Austrian championship and fifth in the Tyrol Cup. After Kranebitter had also participated quite successfully in the Junior World Championship in February 2008 in sixteenth place, he was also nominated for the World Cup in November 2008, one year after his debut in the European Cup . In the first race of the 2008/09 season he managed a 26th place out of 29 participants. With this, Kranebitter collected his first World Cup points.
