Louise Mary Elizabeth Corcoran (born July 30, 1979 in Waitakere City , Auckland ) is a New Zealand skeleton pilot .

Louise Corcoran started skeleton in 1993 at an appeal from Bruce Sandford . She is trained as a helicopter pilot at the University of Otago . Your trainer is Tim Nardiello , Bev Petersen for the sprint and Jon Turnbull for strength training. She made her international debut in November 2000 as 16th in an America's Cup race in Calgary . In February 2001 she started in Park City in the Skeleton World Cup , where she was 22nd. Corcoran took part in their first world championships in Nagano in 2003 . There she took 16th place. In January 2005, although she was New Zealander, she became Austrian champion . In the same month she started at the Universiade , where she finished eighth. In January 2006 she entered the British Championships and won the silver medal. In the 2006 Olympic Games of Turin Corcoran reached one of their best placements with the 12th rank. For the 2007/08 season she started in the newly created Skeleton Intercontinental Cup . In Park City and Calgary, she won a race each and finished first in the overall standings of the racing series.
