Courtney Yamada

Courtney Yamada (born April 6, 1980 ) is an American skeleton pilot .

Courtney Yamada started skeleton in 2002 and has been a member of the US national team since 2003. Her coaching team consists of Tim Nardiello, Greg Sand and Jon Carlock. Internationally, Yamada made her debut in December 2002 at the North American Championships, where she was sixth. At the US Championships in 2003, she was third.

The first racing series in which Xamada started was the America's Cup in the 2003/04 season. In 2004/05 she won the overall ranking. She had her first appearances in the World Cup in January 2006. Since the 2006/07 season she has been regularly successful in the World Cup. Her best result so far was a third place in a race in Nagano in January 2007.
