Hans-Jürgen Harrer (born February 22, 1942 in Stuttgart ) is a German political scientist and publisher.

Life

Jürgen Harrer studied politics, sociology and German in Tübingen , Hamburg and Marburg . He did his doctorate on the Mexican Revolution under Wolfgang Abendroth and was a lecturer at the Philipps University of Marburg from 1972 to 1978 .

The history of the German trade union movement , published in 1977 by Pahl-Rugenstein Verlag together with Frank Deppe and Georg Fülberth, was the reason for the Hessian Minister of Education, Hans Krollmann , not to agree to an appointment as professor of political science at Marburg University. A call to Bremen University that had already been made was not realized for political reasons. Harrer went to Pahl-Rugenstein Verlag as an editor. After its dissolution in 1990, Harrer founded Papyrossa Verlag , following on from the old publishing concept .
