Evan Neufeldt (born June 16, 1987 in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian skeleton pilot .

Career

Evan Neufeldt grew up in Saskatchewan and did several sports, including track and field and ultimate frisbee , during his school and college years . After a shoulder injury in 2010 that caused him to discontinue his studies, he joined skeleton in 2011 and moved to Calgary . At the end of 2013 he took part in the North American Cup for the first time and in January 2014 he finished second in Lake Placid .

In the 2014/15 season Neufeldt first started in the Intercontinental Cup , where he finished tenth and two eighth places. In January 2015 he then made his debut in the World Cup with a 19th place in Altenberg . Just two weeks later he finished eighth in the top 10 in St. Moritz . At the 2015 World Championships in Winterberg , he finished 23rd. In 2015/16 he took part in all eight races of the season of the Intercontinental Cup, where he finished fourth in the final ranking after placing between ranks 6 and 11.
