Paul Fraser (born May 18, 1972 in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian skeleton athlete .

Paul Fraser lives in Calgary , where he graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in biochemistry with a minor in psychology in 2005 . He began in 2006 with the sport of skeleton, denied his first races in the Skeleton America's Cup in Park City in December 2006 and was twice 12th. In January 2008 Fraser reached behind Yūki Sasahara and Yuzuru Hanyūda as third place for the first time a podium finish. A year later , the Canadian also made his debut in the European Cup and finished fifth in St. Moritz . In 2009/10 and 2010/11 Fraser only achieved top ten results in the Europe and America's Cups. In December 2010 he won a race for the first time in Igls ahead of Anton Batujew and Christian Baude , after only having to admit defeat to Ed Smith the day before . A week later in Winterberg followed with a third place behind Baude and Smith, the third podium in a row. In the America's Cup 2011/12 he won the first two races of the season in Park City and then came second twice in Calgary. Then he started again in the European Cup and took two podiums and fourth place in the overall standings during the season.

In December 2012 , Fraser made his debut in the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup , where he drove in seven of nine races of the season in the top ten and reached fifth place in the overall standings. In 2013/14 he did not contest any international races, but returned to the Intercontinental Cup in November 2014 . With a constant participation in all eight races of the season, including two third places in Whistler , he finished second behind David Swift in the final standings.
