Ander Mirambell Viñas (born February 17, 1983 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish skeleton pilot .

Ander Mirambell lives in Manresa and starts for the Club Atletisme Calella . He studied sports science and gives lectures and workshops. He has been involved in skeleton since 2005 and has been part of his country's national team ever since. He made his debut in the European Cup in Koenigssee in December 2005 and reached 61st place. In February of the following year he started at the Junior World Championships in Igls and finished 25th. In addition to races in the European Cup, he competed at the 2007 European Skeleton Championship in Königssee, where he was 23rd, and at the 2008 Skeleton World Championship in Altenberg , where he reached the 27th place. In Winterberg , Mirambell was able to achieve his best result in the European Cup in seventh place. From 2008/09 Mirambell started mostly in the World Cup , but mostly occupied lower places. The next major event was the 2009 European Skeleton Championship in St. Moritz . The Spaniard was 15th, a month later at the Skeleton World Championship 2009 in Lake Placid 27. In the 2009/10 season, the 2010 European Championship in Igls was the first highlight of the season, in which he again finished 15th. The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver were the career highlight up until then . There Mirambell was the first Spaniard to take part in Olympic skeleton competitions and placed 24th.

The Spaniard achieved his best World Cup result at the beginning of the 2010/11 season in Whistler . On the Olympic track, he was able to place himself in 14th place and thus achieved a position in the midfield for the first time. In the overall World Cup, he finished 19th. In the following season he achieved his best result of the World Cup winter with a 17th place also in Whistler. At the end of the season, he achieved his first international podium finishes with a second and third place in the America's Cup . In 2012/13 he only finished between 17 and 26 in the World Cup and was 22nd in the World Cup . In the 2013/14 Olympic season he only achieved placements outside of the top 20 in the World Cup, in addition to rank 16 and 17 in St. Moritz, but took part in the Olympic Games for the second time and was 26th out of 27 starters in Sochi . In the Skeleton World Cup 2014/15 he was not placed in the top 20 and at the 2015 World Cup he finished 30th. In the 2015/16 season he won the overall standings in the North American Cup , winning five times - making him the first Spanish winner in international skeleton races. In the World Cup he finished between 18 and 25 and thus 21st overall.
