Kneipp mausoleum

The Kneipp mausoleum in the town of Bad Wörishofen , in the Unterallgäu district ( Bavaria ), rises above the grave of Sebastian Kneipp, who died in 1897 . The mausoleum in the middle of the cemetery was built on the 40th anniversary of his death in 1937. The design for the listed building comes from David Eberle from Bad Wörishofen. A large crucifix donated by Alfred Baumgarten rises behind the mausoleum .

Inside the black is marble -made sarcophagus of Kneipp set up. On the sides of the sarcophagus there are white marble reliefs with allegories of the cardinal virtues . The white marble cover plate contains an inscription and a tondo with the relief bust of Sebastian Kneipp.
