Knights of Pythias
Order Knights of Pythias is a secret society founded on February 19, 1864 in Washington, DC by Justus H. Rathbone , an official with the United States Department of War .
The order knows three degrees:

- Knight
In 1865 the order had 6,504 lodges with around 464,000 members. In 2003 there were still over 2000 lodges with over 50,000 members worldwide.
