Kohinggo , formerly Arundel Island , is an island in the New Georgia Archipelago in the Western Province , Solomon Islands , immediately east of the main island of the archipelago, New Georgia .

The island is 19 km long and up to 8 km wide and is separated from the neighboring islands of Kolombangara (north), New Georgia (east) and Parara (west) by narrow straits .

The largest towns, Canaan and Rawake, are on the east coast, on Hathorn Sound across from New Georgia Island. In the south, the Hathorn Sound narrows to the Noro Passage, where the islands are only 80 meters apart.

In the southern part of the island, Round Hill reaches a height of 76 meters.
