Kohlosseum
The Kohlosseum ( suitcase word from cabbage and coliseum ) is a special museum in the town of Wesselburen in the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein , which was opened in 2008.
With the help of showcases, models, exhibits and lectures, visitors are told the history, the diverse processing and environmentally friendly cultivation of cabbage vegetables and their importance for regional agriculture. The founder of large-scale cabbage cultivation in the Dithmarschen region and marketing on a large scale was Eduard Lass at the end of the 19th century . Today Dithmarschen is applying as the "largest contiguous cabbage-growing area in Europe".
