Kōichi Kawai ( Japanese 川 井 光 一 Kawai Kōichi ; born March 29, 1979 in Ehime Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Kawai learned to play soccer on the school team at Minamiuwa High School and the university team at Chukyo University . He signed his first contract with Ehime FC in 2001 . The club played in the third highest division in the country, the Japan Football League . In 2005 he was with the club master of the Japan Football League and rose to the J2 League . At the end of 2006 he ended his career as a football player.
