Kokkie Gilles

Maria Cornelia "Kokkie" Gilles (* 1918 ; † February 5, 2006 in Soest (Netherlands) ) was the personal confidante of the Dutch Prince Bernhard zur Lippe-Biesterfeld .

Gilles became the Prince's personal assistant towards the end of World War II and accompanied him in the years that followed. After her retirement, she stayed in close contact with Prince Bernhard. For her services she was awarded the Cross of Honor of the House Order of Orange .

Gilles died on February 5, 2006 at the age of 87.
