Kokology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kokology is a "game of self-knowledge" produced by the Japanese TV quiz master and TV producer Tadahiko Nagao and developed in collaboration with Isamu Saito , a professor at Risshō University in Japan . This game asks inconspicuous questions, the answers of which are then assigned to a deeper meaning.

Kokology differs from the classic psycho test, in which the questions are first answered and then an overall value is formed from the answers given, in that each question is immediately followed by a mostly comprehensible and logical abstraction. If you get involved in the game, z. B. the observation of snacking habits or dealing with sudden rain showers gives possibilities of self-reflection and stimulates thought.

The effect is based on the Barnum effect for many questions .
