Kolga (the "cold one") is a sea giantess according to Nordic mythology and one of the nine daughters of Aegir and Rán .

Like her sisters, she is one of the wave girls , because they all symbolize a certain wave shape of the sea. Her sisters are: Himingläfa, Dusa, Blödughadda, Heffrig, Udor, Raun, Bylgia and Dröbna. With all these wave daughters fathered Odin the god Heimdall .

In addition, Kolga is the name of an asteroid discovered in 1878 , see Kolga (asteroid) .
