Kolonia Ostrowicka

Kolonia Ostrowicka (German: Kolonie Osterwitt ) is a village in the municipality of Gniew in the powiat Tczewski in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .

history

The roots of the village lie in the 16th to the 18th century. In 1905 the village had 135 inhabitants. With the attack on Poland in 1939 and the German occupation of Poland , the following inhabitants of the village were murdered: Edward Chylinski (pupil), Franciszek Chyla (seminary student), Bernard Glinieccy, Jan Glinieccy, Kazimierz Hallagiera, Leon Materna (invalid), Leon Ordan (shoemaker) , Benedikt Sajdowski (student), Bronislaw Smolewski ( Stutthof ) and Wodkowski.

On February 19, 1945, Soviet troops marched into the village. In 2006 Kolonia Ostrowicka had 620 inhabitants.
