Colonial trail
Several track gauges on railways that were built by the mother countries in former colonies were referred to as colonial gauge . In the vast majority of cases it is the
- Indian broad gauge , meant; but it can also
- Cape Trail (as British Colonial Trail ), the
- Meter gauge (as French colonial gauge ) or the
- 950 mm track (as Italian colonial track ) should be meant.
