Combine

A Kombine is an agricultural machine , this term was used particularly in the GDR , but also in Poland . The word Kombine is derived from the Russian word комбайн kombain , which goes back to the English term combine harvester for "combine harvester".

The name refers to the joining ( combining ) of several operations such as mowing (cutting off the grain) and threshing (knocking the grain out of the grain) in one machine. This makes the combination the technological successor to the mower and the threshing machine, for example .
