Kongens gate 12 is a listed building in the Norwegian city of Ålesund .

It is located in downtown Ålesund on the east side of Kongens gate on the island of Nørvøy . Kongens gate 10B , which is also listed, is adjacent to the south .

The Art Nouveau residential and commercial building was built in 1906 by the architect Jens Zetlitz Monrad Kielland for the client Jens Berentsen's children and is one of the buildings that were built as part of the reconstruction of the city after the fire in Ålesund in 1904. The center of the facade is spanned by a curved gable . On both sides of the central axis there is a stylized flower arrangement on the first and second floors. The facade is also characterized by differently structured and colored plaster. A shop was set up on the ground floor of the three-and-a-half-story building. The windows there are curved. Today (as of 2019) there is a gastronomic use there. The very narrow neighboring building Kongens gate 10B is also accessed via the house entrance on the right-hand side of the building.
