action

The knight Martin achieved great wealth through his fight against the Saracens on behalf of the queen and the invention of various fireworks and the like. At least that is what his neighbor Albrecht von Krvenos believes, who accuses the knight of witchcraft before the queen. He actually wanted to intercept the messenger with the summons in the forest, but Martin's hunting party beats him.

Outraged by the accusations, Martin goes to the Queen to refute the accusations. He hands over the management of the castle to his eldest son Peter. On the way to the queen, Albrecht offers him his hospitality. He drugged him and his men and put them in the dungeon. Then he offers Peter a tournament participation at his castle. On the way to the castle, Peter and his entourage are attacked by knights of the House of Albrecht. The five children manage to escape through a river, Albrecht's men think they are dead.

Albrecht goes to the castle and begins to search it for treasure. With a few tricks the children manage to convince Albrecht's followers that there is no gold in the castle, but that it is haunted. Albrecht leaves the castle again and has eight men selected to guard the castle. These also chase the five children away.

Meanwhile, with the help of some bandits and a kitchen boy named Tomas and his uncle, Martin manages to escape from the dungeon.

Albrecht finds out about the children and tries to take the castle with his army. But thanks to Peter's ingenuity, the children manage to pretend an army and put the attackers to flight. But again Albrecht manages to see through the children's trick. In the meantime, however, Martin managed to get to the castle. Hopelessly outnumbered, they prepare for the decisive battle when the queen arrives. She declares Albrecht's accusations null and void and removes them from his knighthood.
