Kongens gate 10B is a listed building in the Norwegian city of Ålesund .

It is considered the narrowest house in Norway and is located in downtown Ålesund on the east side of Kongens gate on the island of Nørvøy . North borders the equally monumental value Kongens gate 12 to

The building was constructed in 1907 as part of the rebuilding of the city after the fire in Ålesund in 1904. The architect Karl Norum was commissioned to develop the difficultly cut plot . The result was a three-storey building in Art Nouveau style , with a façade that was only 2.94 meters wide and uniaxial. The stones used for the facade come from Eide in Nordmøre . The width of the building widens slightly towards the rear, but the upper floors can only be reached via the neighboring house at Kongens gate 12. The floor space is only 23 m². There is an oval window in the gable .

Originally there was a plumber's workshop in the house and apartments on the upper floors. The ground floor is now used as a shop. The current owner is Steinar Giske (as of 2008). In 2008, the house, together with the neighboring building Kongens gate 12, was awarded the Norwegian Monument Protection Prize Olavsrosa .
