Bolat Shumabekov

Bolat Serikuly Schumabekow ( Kazakh Болат Серікұлы Жұмабеков , Russian Булат Серикович Жумабеков Bulat Serikowitsch Schumabekow * 5. November 1972 in the village of Kuibyshev , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician . He has been the mayor of the city of Petropavl since April 2019 .

Life

Bolat Schumabekow was born in 1972 in the village of Kuibyshev in what is now northern Kazakhstan . He graduated from the Agricultural Institute of Aqmola with a degree in Agricultural Sciences in 1995 . A further degree in law he received at the State University of North Kazakhstan of 2006.

He began his professional career in 1995 on a farm. He worked there for two years before working for the administration of Timiryazev County in northern Kazakhstan. From 1998 to 1999 he was chairman of the district's land management committee. From 2005 to 2007 he was the head of the agricultural department of the Timiryazev district and in March 2007 he was appointed Äkim of that district. He held this office until April 2009 before he then worked in the administration of the governor of Northern Kazakhstan. In September 2011 he became Deputy Äkim (Governor) of Northern Kazakhstan. On February 1, 2012, he became mayor of Petropavl City . As such, he managed the fortunes of the city until May 6, 2013. From the beginning of 2014, Schumabekow was the commercial director of a company in Astana and from August of the year was Äkim of the Qysylschar district in northern Kazakhstan. From January 2018 to April 2019 he was Äkim of the Ghabit Müsirepow district.

Since April 12, 2019, he has been the mayor of Petropavl again.
