Nurschan Aschimbetov

Nurschan Kemeruly Äschimbetow ( Kazakh Нұржан Кемерұлы Әшімбетов , Russian Нуржан Кемерович Ашимбетов , Nurschan Kemerowitsch Aschimbetow * 26. June 1969 in Pavlodar region ) is a Kazakh politician and since August 2019 senator in the Senate of Kazakhstan .

Life

Nurzhan Aeschimbetov was born in 1969 in the Pavlodar region. He studied economist and accountant at the Alma-Ata Veterinary Institute and at the Institute for Economics and Statistics in Almaty .

In 1993 he started working for the Pavlodar Oblast Provincial Government. He served on the Public Property Committee and advised American society. In 1999 he became the deputy Äkim of Aktogai County. From 2006 to 2008 he was the head of the Pavlodar Region Agriculture Department .

From December 2008 to October 2009 he worked in the presidential administration of Kazakhstan in Astana . From October 2009 to January 2012 he was mayor of the city of Petropavl . From February 2012 to April 2016 he was Deputy Governor of Pavlodar Province .

On April 13, 2016, Aeschimbetov was appointed mayor of Pavlodar . After around two years, he was transferred to the post of Äkim in the city of Ekibastus on August 22, 2018 . He has been a senator in the Kazakh Senate since August 2019 .
