The Kongsvinger Knights are a Norwegian ice hockey club from Kongsvinger founded in 1961 . The men's team has been playing in Norway's third division, the 2nd division , since 2019 , and plays its home games in the Kongshallen .
history
The association was founded on January 27, 1961 by Rolf E. Johnsen, Ola Bie-Larsen, Ola Norstrøm, Odd Smedstad, Terje Martinsen and Trond Dahl. In 2004, the team succeeded for the first time in promotion to the second-class 1st division . In this, the team played until the end of the 2013/14 season, before the promotion to the top division, the GET league , succeeded. The club played there until relegation in 2018.
