Koningsplein

The Koningsplein (Königsplatz) is a square in Amsterdam-Centrum . There is also a Koningsplein in Brussels and other cities. Most famous, however, is the square in Amsterdam .

It is popular with tourists and is often visited on Queen's Day. Several shops can be found there, including an English-language bookstore. Tram lines 1, 2 and 5 stop at the square, which is actually more of a wide street than a square. The famous Bloemenmarkt ( flower market ) and the Museum Het Grachtenhuis in Herengracht No. 586 are very close by .
