The Koninklijke Nederlandse Chemische Vereniging ( KNCV ) ( English : Royal Netherlands Chemical Society ) is a scientific association of chemists in the Netherlands . According to its own information, it has 8,500 members and 17 departments (such as analytical chemistry and macromolecules ). She was editor of the journal Chemisch Weekblad , which is now published under the title C2W . In addition, she temporarily published the journal Chemical Reports - Recueil . KNCV is part of the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (EuCheMS), a European non-profit organization.

The association was founded on April 15, 1903 as Algemene Nederlandsche Chemische Vereeniging and was renamed Nederlandsche Chemische Vereeniging on July 4 of the same year . On the 50th anniversary of its foundation in 1953, the association was awarded the title Koninklijk .

Every year the company awards the golden KNCV medal - the most important and prestigious chemistry prize in the Netherlands.
