The Journal Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas was initially founded in 1882 as "Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas et de la Belgique" ( ISSN  0370-7539 , CODEN : RTCPB4) and was a respected scientific journal in the field of chemistry .

The journal was founded by the scientists Eduard Mulder (1832–1924), Antoine Paul Nicolas Franchimont (1844–1919), Willem Anne van Dorp (1847–1914), Sebastiaan Hoogewerff (1847–1934) and Antoine Corneille Oudemans (1831–1895) ).

Between 1980 (Volume 99) and 1984 (Volume 103) the journal appeared under the name " Recueil: Journal of the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society " ( ISSN  0165-0513 , CODEN: RJRSDK). In 1985 (Volume 104) one returned to the title " Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas ". The last issue with the name was issue 11/12 of volume 115 in 1996.

In 1997 the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) and the Dutch Koninklijke Nederlandse Chemische Vereniging published a joint journal made up of "Chemischenberichte" and "Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas" under the name "Chemischeberichte - Recueil" .

In 1998 there was a merger with other European journals and organic chemistry was outsourced, which then merged into the European Journal of Organic Chemistry . Since then, the "Chemical Reports - Recueil" have been published under the title European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry .

More mergers

In the chemistry journals "European Journal of Organic Chemistry" and "European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry" later other specialist journals from Europe were also absorbed, among others
