Martin Glaser

Martin Glaser (born August 16, 1968 in Ottensheim ) is an Austrian composer , conductor and music teacher .

Life

Martin Glaser attended the Musikgymnasium Linz and worked as a flautist and choir singer in several performances under Franz Welser-Möst .

He then began his studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Michael Gielen and received the “Talent Promotion Award for Composition” from the Province of Upper Austria . He continued his studies in instrumental pedagogy with a major in flute at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz and graduated in 1992 with the state teaching diploma.

In 1991 Glaser began working as a music teacher in the Upper Austrian Regional Music School and continued his studies in music theory and composition with Gunter Waldek . He completed his studies in music theory in 1994 with a diploma, and in composition he graduated with honors in 1999.

His orchestral composition "developments , Op. 26," commissioned by the Austrian Kammersymphoniker , was founded in 1996 in Vienna Konzerthaus premiered . In the same year he received a Bayreuth scholarship from the Richard Wagner Association in Linz. Glaser composes for all ensembles from large choir and orchestral works to solo works.

Since June 2012 Glaser has been leading the "Ensemble CHORnetto"
