Bankruptcy office

The bankruptcy office ( KA ) is the authority that is responsible for executing bankruptcies under Swiss law . The establishment of an external bankruptcy administration remains reserved .

The opening of bankruptcy is incumbent on the court due to its special importance . The implementation of a possible antecedent debt collection is up to the prosecution office .

Relevant provisions under federal law can be found in the Federal Act on Debt Collection and Bankruptcy (SchKG) and in the Ordinance on the Management of Bankruptcy Offices (KOV).

The rulings of the bankruptcy office can, if necessary , be challenged with the supervisory authority by means of an enforcement complaint according to Art. 17 SchkG.
