Konrad Cohn

Konrad Cohn (born February 24, 1866 - † May 4, 1938 in Berlin ) was a German school dentist in Berlin .

Services

Cohn was a pioneer in the development of school dental care, among others in the Central Committee for Dental Care in Schools (1909) and as a lecturer in social dentistry at the University of Berlin (1919). He campaigned for school dental care to be established as part of general school health care under the direction of cities, counties and municipal associations. In 1933 he was suspended from his service at the university because of his Jewish origins.

Awards

In recognition of his services, the Konrad Cohn lecture hall of the old dental clinic at the Charité Berlin was named after him.
