Konrad was the son of Konrad I vom (ab dem) Graben and was first mentioned in 1325 together with his brothers Reinprecht II, Haintzlein and Niclein in a document from the Rein monastery . After the death of his father, Konrad took over his inheritance, which included the Grazer Hof am Graben and the nearby Alt-Grabenhofen Castle . In addition, there are mining rights and the vineyards on the Rosenberg in Graz , not far from Alt-Grabenhofen Castle. These documents show elements of the similarity with the later rule of Grabenhofen.

In 1351 Konrad donated 60 guilders to the Rein monastery. He sold the goods to his lord Ulrich von Walsee, governor of Styria, for the cheese factory in Wenntz in the Ennstal near Wolkenstein. It is not possible to find out in any document whether Konrad was married or had left children. A document shows Von Graben, who lived at the same time and was named with the same first name, as the tribe of the noble Orsini-Rosenberg family. Either it is Konrad or one of his close relatives. According to this document, the Rosenbergs came from a member of the von Graben family who lived in Alt-Grabenhofen and took the name of the "Rosenberg" near the castle. Konrad [from the Graben] from the Roesenperg , who was first mentioned in a document on September 6, 1322 (original in the Styrian Provincial Archives in Graz), appears as ancestral lord . Another document is in the archive of the Rein Abbey not far from Graz. Konrad ab dem Rosenberg and the first Rosenbergs were sealed with the inclined beam coat of arms of the Grazer Lords von Graben. As Konrad's (main) heir, his cousin Reinprecht III. from digging up.
