Depiction of Konrad as a knight on the Baierbrunn maypole

. Conrad IV of Baierbrunn (* 28. February 1275 ; † 1. February 1333 ) was a noble Bayer from Baierbrunn and Steward of the Bavarian Duke

Life

Konrad was the son of Otto III. von Baierbrunn and his wife Guta and was born on February 28, 1275. He married Elsbeth von Felben , Gebhard von Felben's sister , in 1288 . Konrad died on February 1, 1333 , and thus after his son Otto IV von Baierbrunn . Although he bequeathed parts of his inheritance to his granddaughter, Beatrix von Baierbrunn , during his lifetime , it is unclear whether the rest of the inheritance would also go to him or his wife first when he died. The Schäftlarn monastery , in which he was buried and to which he had transferred part of his property, remembered him in its necrology and inPitch directory . Posthumously Konrad was transfigured as a war hero in the battle of Mühldorf ; but this is probably due to a decoration by Johannes Aventinus and does not correspond to reality.
