Konrad Waldner
Konrad Waldner was elected Bishop of Brixen in 1301 .
Konrad Waldner was abbot of the Cistercian monastery of Stams in Tyrol . After the violent death of the Brixen bishop Landulf of Milan , Abbot Konrad Waldner was elected as his successor by the cathedral chapter at the instigation of Count Meinhard II's three sons , Otto , Ludwig and Heinrich .
Pope Boniface VIII let Salzburg Archbishop Konrad IV von Fohnsdorf in a letter dated September 22, 1301 confirm Konrad or name another candidate. For political reasons, however, the archbishop chose Johann Sax von Saxenau . Konrad Waldner only remained an elected bishop and was never ordained.
