Konsa

Konsa is one of three arrondissements of Bobo-Dioulasso , the second largest city in the West African state of Burkina Faso .

Konsa was created in 1988 as Commune 3 and converted to the arrondissement in 1993 under its current name. It is located in the west of the city and is divided into sectors 1, 7, 8, 9, 18, 19, 20 and 21. According to the 2006 census, 105,850 people live in Konsa. As Konsa encompasses the city center, the city's most important facilities are located here, such as the central market, the two stadiums and hospitals.

Karim Barro is the mayor and the council has 21 members, including three women.
