Konstantin Shumov (born February 15, 1985 in Moscow , Soviet Union ) is a Finnish volleyball player .

Career

Shumov began his professional career in 2003 at the Finnish club Keski-Savon Pateri. In 2006 the middle blocker moved to Italy, where he played until 2012. He then moved to the German Bundesliga team Generali Haching , with whom he won the DVV Cup in 2013. Since 2006 Shumov has played in the Finnish senior team , for which he played around 180 international matches and in 2007 reached fourth place at the European Championship in Russia .

Private life

Konstantin Shumov is the son of former volleyball player Jevgeni Shumov, who played for the Finnish club Pateri. He has Russian and Finnish citizenship.
