Bundesliga
TSV Unterhaching rose to the Bundesliga in 2000. In the second Bundesliga season 2001/02 , the team was German runner-up. In the quarter-finals of the 2004/05 season , Unterhaching had to admit defeat to eventual runner-up evivo Düren after a close duel . In the 2005/06 season, the Hachinger were defeated by the eventual champions VfB Friedrichshafen in the semi-finals and finished fourth. The same result came a year later . In the 2007/08 season , the team was eliminated against Friedrichshafen after two 1: 3 defeats in the semifinals, but was able to achieve third place with two wins against Moerser SC . In the 2008/09 season the Hachinger went into the playoffs as leaders and reached the playoff final for the first time in their club's history, where they were defeated in four games against Friedrichshafen. In the 2009/10 season Generali Haching was again in the final against Friedrichshafen. The four play-off games ended 0: 3, 1: 3, 3: 1, 2: 3.
In the following season , Haching finished second after the main round, tied on points in front of SCC Berlin, but with a better set ratio. In the semifinals, however, the Berliners prevailed. In the 2011/12 season, Haching was defeated by the new champions Berlin Recycling Volleys in the tightest playoff final in recent Bundesliga history with 2: 3 wins . In 2013 , the team failed in the semifinals at VfB Friedrichshafen. The same result came in the 2013/14 season .
DVV Cup
In the 2006/07 season, the Hachinger lost in the quarter-finals to the eventual winner VfB Friedrichshafen . In the second round of 2007/08 they defeated the promoted VC Bad Dürrenberg / Spergau , but lost the quarter-finals against SG Eltmann and were eliminated. In the 2008/09 season the team reached the final of the DVV Cup and won 3-1 on March 8 against Moerser SC . In the following two seasons, the title was successfully defended with 3-2 victories in the final against evivo Düren and VfB Friedrichshafen. In 2012, however, Haching lost to Friedrichshafen with 0: 3. In 2013 , Haching won the cup again with a 3-2 win in the final against Moerser SC. In the semi-finals of the 2013/14 season , the defending champion was eliminated against Berlin.
European Cup
At the preliminary round of the CEV Cup in the 2006/07 season, the Hachinger team hosted the competition from January 5th to 7th, 2007. They won against OK Budvanska Rivijera from Montenegro and the Czechs from Jihostroj České Budějovice each 3-0, but then lost the direct duel for group victory against Tourcoing Lille Métropole and finished second behind the French, which was not enough to advance. In the 2007-08 season they played in the same competition now known as the Challenge Cup. They prevailed against the Serbian team from Kraljevo in the decision set. In the second round they lost the “golden set” against Aich / Dob from Austria. The Hachinger team also took part in the Challenge Cup in 2008/09 as third in the Bundesliga . They defeated HAOK Mladost Zagreb and Dunaferr Dunaújváros first and were eliminated in the round of 16 against Arkasspor İzmir . In the 2009/10 CEV Cup , TSV Unterhaching was eliminated in the first round against AZS Częstochowa from Poland.
In 2010/11 the Hachinger team appeared in the Champions League for the first time . Here they met in the preliminary round on VK Zenit-Kazan , CSKA Sofia and AS Cannes , where they were able to qualify as second in the group for the next round and met on Jastrzębski Węgiel . They won the first leg in their home hall 3: 1, but lost the second leg in Poland 1: 3. The now due “Golden Set” also went to the Polish hosts with a score of 15: 9, so that Haching was eliminated from the competition. In the Champions League 2011/12 , Haching qualified as the best third party in the group for the round of 16 and was eliminated there against VK Lokomotiv Novosibirsk with 1: 3 and 0: 3. In the 2012/13 season the Hachinger were also third in the preliminary round group with Lube Macerata , ACH Volley Ljubljana and VC Euphony Asse-Lennik , but this time this meant relegation to the CEV Cup ; there Haching retired in the golden set of the Challenge Round against Andreoli Latina . In the 2013/14 season , the Hachinger team started directly in the CEV Cup. With wins against Topvolley Antwerp and CAI Teruel , they reached the quarter-finals, in which they lost to Skra Bełchatów .
Withdrawal 2014
After the main sponsor Generali Germany announced that it would end its involvement in Hachinger volleyball, the club looked in vain for new donors. Haching wanted to continue offering top-class sport, but could no longer find sufficient financial support. Therefore, at the end of July 2014, the club announced its withdrawal from the Bundesliga.
Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching 2017 to 2020
In October 2016, the Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL) announced that for the 2017/18 season, a wildcard would be awarded for the first time for the top German division in order to fill free starting places in the league. With the wildcard rule, the Hachinger showed interest in returning. In order to be able to meet the requirements, they entered into a cooperation with the Austrian Hypo Tirol volleyball team Innsbruck . Since the 2017/18 season , the Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching have played in the Bundesliga. After canceling the season 2019/20 due to the COVID-19 pandemic cooperation was terminated.
Return to the 1st Bundesliga in 2020
