The TV Bühl 1847 e. V. is a sports club from the Baden city of Bühl , whose volleyball men's team has been playing in the first Bundesliga under the name Volleyball Bisons Bühl since the 2017/18 season . The TV Bühl has the following departments: baseball (Bühl Blackwoods), basketball, popular sports, judo, artistic gymnastics, athletics, swimming, table tennis and volleyball.

The head coach has been the previous assistant coach Alejandro Kolevich since the end of January 2020 . The Argentine replaced the Dutchman Johan Verstappen , who had taken over the team for the 2019/20 season. The doctors Marc Bientzle and Oliver Mohr and four physiotherapists are responsible for medical care. Jannis Oser acts as a scout. Team manager is Ina Schultz.

Bundesliga

In 2006 the team rose from the Regionalliga Süd to the 2nd Bundesliga South. In the first season in the second division in 2007 they reached eighth place. In the following season they finished fourth. In the 2008/09 season, the TV Bühl secured the championship and rose to the first division. There the Bühler reached the playoff quarter-finals against Generali Haching in 2009/10 and lost 3-0 twice. In the 2010/11 season it was only 11th place. In the 2011/12 season, the team took fifth place in the Bundesliga. In the following season , the Bühler came fourth in the playoffs and qualified with two 3-2 victories against Moerser SC for the semifinals, which they lost against the eventual champions Berlin Recycling Volleys . In 2013/14 they also made it into the playoffs as fourth in the table and after victories against evivo Düren had to admit defeat in the semifinals against Berlin. In the playoff quarter-finals 2014/15 , however, Bühl was eliminated in the quarter-finals against the newly promoted SVG Lüneburg .

DVV Cup

In the round of 16 of the DVV Cup 2009/10, the promoted team lost 3-0 to the Eschenbacher Volleys Bamberg . In the 2010/11 season , Bühl lost 3-1 to Moerser SC in the same round . In 2011/12 , the Bühler reached the semi-finals, in which they were eliminated 3-0 against Generali Haching . In 2012/13 they lost to the quarter-finals at TV Rottenburg . A year later , Bühl reached the cup semi-finals with victories against Leipzig and Dresden and lost there against VfB Friedrichshafen 3-0. In 2014/15 there was the same duel in the semi-finals, this time Friedrichshafen prevailed 3-1.

European Cup

In the 2013/14 season, TV Bühl took part in a European competition for the first time. When they were third in the Bundesliga last season they played in the CEV Cup . After the success in the first round against Landstede Zwolle , the southern Germans also prevailed against Bre Banca Lanutti Cuneo in the round of 16 and against PAOK Thessaloniki in the quarter-finals . In the Challenge Round they then had to admit defeat to the previous Champions League participant Paris Volley . In the 2014/15 season, Bühl entered the CEV Cup again . In the first round they won against Bigbank Tartu before they were eliminated in the round of 16 against Spacer's Toulouse .

The home games of TV Bühl are played in the large sports hall in Bühl. The large sports hall holds 1694 spectators.

The other male teams of TV Bühl play in the upper league, in the regional league and in the district class. There are also three women's teams in the district league and in the district class as well as a mixed team in the association league and various junior teams.
