German Volleyball Bundesliga 2020/21 (men)
The 2020/21 season of the men's volleyball Bundesliga is scheduled to begin on October 17, 2020. Since the 2019/20 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic , there is no defending champion.

TSV Unterhaching is there as a newcomer. The German youngsters appear as VC Olympia Berlin with special game rights and do not take part in the playoffs. The TV Rottenburg , the Hypo Tirol Alps volleys Haching and Heitec volleys Eltmann retired after the season 2019/20 from the Bundesliga back.
Main round
The men's Bundesliga consists of eleven teams in the 2020/21 season, which initially compete against each other in the first and second round. There is no relegation.

Since the 2013/14 season, the following rules have been applied to the DVV's game operations: three points are awarded for a 3-0 or 3-1 win, two points for a 3-2 win and two points for a 2-3 defeat one point and no point for a 1-3 or 0-3 defeat. In the event of a tie, the number of games won first decides, then the set quotient (division method) and finally the ball point quotient (division method).

Play-offs
The teams in the first eight places qualify for the playoffs. With the exception of the final ( best-of-five mode ), all games are played in best-of-three mode .
