German Volleyball Bundesliga 2011/12 (men)
The 2011/12 season of the men's volleyball Bundesliga began on September 30, 2011 with the opening game between Berlin Recycling Volleys and evivo Düren and ended with the last game of the playoff final on April 22, 2012. German champion became the fourth time the team from the Berlin Recycling Volleys .

VfB Friedrichshafen started as defending champions. Berlin Recycling Volleys was the new name of the previous SCC Berlin. Due to financial problems, the second division club TSV Giesen / Hildesheim , who were qualified in sports, did not qualify for promotion to the first division, and VC Mendig , as champions of the second division south, also renounced promotion,
Main round
The main round games were played between September 30, 2011 and February 25, 2012. The first eight teams qualified for the play-offs, the last one was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga.

Play-offs
The eight best teams in the main round qualified for participation in the play-offs for the German championship. The quarter-finals were played in best-of-three mode. In the semi-finals and finals, the best-of-five mode was played.
