German Volleyball Bundesliga 1977/78 (men)

The 1977/78 season of the Volleyball Bundesliga was the fourth edition of this competition. The TSV 1860 Munich was German champion . Giessen and Freiburg had to relegate, Münster withdrew.

• TSV 1860 Munich
• USC Munster
• VBC Paderborn

TuS 04 Leverkusen (north) and USC Freiburg (south) were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga.
