The VBC 69 Paderborn is Paderborn Volleyball Association , which in 1969 was established.

After the merger in 1973 with CVJM Petershagen, VBC Paderborn was a founding member of the men's volleyball league and celebrated its greatest successes in the early 1980s, when it was runner-up in Germany six times in 1979, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985, as well as in 1981 won the DVV Cup . After renouncing the Bundesliga in 1992 for financial reasons, the sporting decline began.

VBC Paderborn plays today in Oberliga 2 of the West German Volleyball Association.

Until 1991 VBC Paderborn also had a successful basketball department. In 1984 they were promoted to the 2nd basketball league and played in this league until the division was spun off. In 1991 the department was spun off as Paderborn Baskets 91 , which originally had the goal of organizing the volleyball and basketball departments as independent clubs under the umbrella of the VBC Paderborn main club. However, this goal was no longer pursued later, the departments continued to develop independently of one another.
