Zbigniew Jasiukiewicz
Zbigniew Jasiukiewicz [ ˈzbʲigɲɛf jaɕuˈcɛvʲiʧ ] (born October 13, 1947 in Nowogród Bobrzański , Poland ; † March 10, 2005 in Moers , Germany ) was a Polish volleyball player and coach.
Life
Jasiukiewicz played 276 games for the Polish national volleyball team and was part of the team that won the world title in 1974 . At the Summer Olympics in Mexico in 1968 he was in the Polish team , which, however, did not win a medal.
In Germany he played for Fortuna Bonn and VBC Paderborn in the men's volleyball league .
After finishing his active career, he became a trainer in the USA, Sweden, Germany and Poland. In the period from October 1983 to August 1987 he coached the German men's national team , in 1988 the VBC Paderborn and from 1989 to 1991 the Moerser SC .
