Hans-Jörg "Hanni" Michels (born November 16, 1961 in Osnabrück ) is a former German national volleyball player .

During his school days, Hans-Jörg Michels took part in the national competition of schools youth trained for the Olympics with the Graf-Stauffenberg-Gymnasium (Osnabrück) several times , which he won five times as national winner. In the 1982/83 season he played in the Bundesliga at VBC Paderborn , with whom he became German runner-up and vice-cup winner. From 1983 to 1993 he played for league competitor VdS Berlin , later SCC Berlin . In 1986 he won the German Cup with the VdS Berlin , including David Schüler and Sven Eggert .

Hans-Jörg Michels was a member of the junior national team, the men's national team , among others together with Burkhard Sude , and a member of the Bundeswehr national team. He had a total of about 80 international assignments. In 1983 he took among others Antonius Kass on the world sports games of the students, the Summer Universiade in Canada's Edmonton ( Alberta ) part.

Since 2013 he has been President of the Brandenburg Sports Association for the Disabled.

Hans-Jörg Michels is married and has one son. He works as a freelance lawyer in Berlin.
