Toni Rimrod (born January 22, 1948 in Schweinfurt ) is a former German volleyball player . He is volleyball player of the year 1979.

Life

Toni Rimrod played at DJK Schweinfurt in his Franconian homeland in the 1960s . Then he moved to the Bundesliga club TSV 1860 Munich . In 1972 he took part in the Olympic Games in Munich with the German national team, but only finished next to last. With the "sixties" he became German champion in 1973 and won the DVV Cup . After moving to SSF Bonn , Toni Rimrod became German champion straight away in 1974. In 1978 he finally moved to league competitor VBC Paderborn , with whom he won the German Cup in 1981. Toni Rimrod ended his active career in 1982, but continued to work as a functionary and coach at VBC Paderborn in the following years.

Toni Rimrod has been a German national player 148 times . In 1979 he was voted first volleyball player of the year . Today Toni Rimrod is a pharmacist in Paderborn.
