Nikola Rosić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Никола Росић ; born August 5, 1984 in Belgrade , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian volleyball player .

Career

Rosić began his volleyball career in 1994, using his mother as a role model. From 1999 to 2004 he played in his hometown for OK Partizan Belgrade . He then moved to the Montenegrin club OK Budvanska Rivijera . In 2006, the German Bundesliga team Moerser SC signed the Libero and reached the final of the DVV Cup with it . Two years later Moers reached the final at the Gerry Weber Stadium again , but this time Rosić had to watch injured. He then moved to VfB Friedrichshafen , with whom he won the German championship in 2010 and 2011 and the DVV Cup in 2012 . In 2013 Rosić went to Switzerland to Pallavolo Lugano and in 2014 to Romania to CVM Tomis Constanța .

Rosić also celebrated some successes with the Serbian national team . In the World League 2009 , the team reached the final and in the same competition in 2010 third place. It was already the fifth participation for the Libero. There was also bronze at the World Cup in Italy in the same year , when Serbia narrowly lost the semi-finals against Cuba and then defeated the hosts . At the European Championships 2011 , Serbia won the title with Rosić by another victory against Italy. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 and at the 2014 World Cup in Poland , Rosić finished ninth with the national team.
