Badischer Sportbund Nord

The Badische Sportbund Nord eV (BSB Nord), based in Karlsruhe, is the umbrella organization for sport in North Baden and represents the interests of sport in society. It was founded on March 13, 1946 and is one of the founding members of the German Sports Association , the first chairman was Franz Müller . Martin Lenz has been President of the Badischer Sportbund Nord since 2016.

Today he is a member of the German Olympic Sports Confederation through the Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association .

The BSB Nord has an office in the Haus des Sports in Karlsruhe, which has been managed by Managing Director Michael Titze since April 2020, and publishes the monthly association magazine Sport in Baden-Württemberg .

Regionally, it is divided into nine sports circles. It represents 52 sports associations with more than 2,400 clubs and a total of over 800,000 members.

The BSB Nord coordinates the training of instructors and coaches for its member associations in the Schöneck sports school . He trains executives for clubs and professional associations and processes grant applications for sports equipment, sports facilities and exercise instructors.
