The 2010/11 season in the DVV Cup began with the round of 16 on November 28, 2010 and ended with the finals on March 6, 2011 in the Gerry Weber Stadium in Halle . The defending champions were Generali Unterhaching for the men and the Dresdner SC for the women. At the finals, the women of Smart Allianz Stuttgart prevailed 3-0 against VfB 91 Suhl and the men of defending champion Generali Haching 3-2 against VfB Friedrichshafen .

The regional cup winners were determined in October / November. For women, there was an additional qualification in October, in which the three worst teams from the last Bundesliga season and promoted Erfurt met each other to determine two participants for the round of 16. Sonthofen won an away win at the SWE volley team on October 2nd and Aachen won an away win on October 30th in Sinsheim .
