Gregory Petty (born June 5, 1993 in Downers Grove , Illinois ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Petty began his career at Downers Grove North High School. From 2012 to 2015 he studied at Lewis University and played on the university team Flyers. With the team he was runner-up at the NCAA in 2015 . After completing his studies, he went to the Finnish club Leka Volley, which is based in Kuopio . In 2016, the outside attacker took part in the Panamerican Cup with the US national team. In the 2016/17 season he played in Greece for Pamvochaikos VC. He then moved to the French club Rennes Volley 35. There he suffered a serious knee injury in the first game and fell out for a long time. In the 2018/19 season he played for the second division Paris Volley, with which he made the promotion. In 2019 he was signed by the German Bundesliga club Volleyball Bisons Bühl .
